Nehru Zoological Park, named after the first Prime Minister of India – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, is situated in Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana state in India. It was opened in October 1959. It is a very large park occupying 380 acres. Mir Alam Tank is very near to the Zoo. There are many indigenous birds, reptiles and many other Asian wild animals. This park is visited by locals and tourists in large numbers.
I have visited this park twice in my childhood and in December 2015. Though I thought of visiting it many times to practice photography it could materialise only when I attended the Nikon Basics Workshop. My serious photography journey started with Nikon D5200. Zoo is the first place I visited to learn basics of DSLR camera and photography. Here are some pictures taken at Zoo Park, Hyderabad.
